Jesus' Two Names Defines His One Mission

Jesus' and Immanuel describe what Jesus has done for us. Immanuel means God with us, this name tells us that God has accomplished God's Old Testament promises and made peace between heaven and earth, God and humanity. The name "Jesus" describes how Jesus did this, by saving us from the oppresive force of sin and death enslaving us and keeping us separated from God.
